Consumer Rights Law Firm Serving Clients in Chicago, Illinois, and Nationwide

In the wake of recent research alleging that some of the private-label supplements manufactured by four large national retailers — Target, WalMart, Walgreens and GNC — may fail to accurately report their ingredients, our Chicago consumer rights lawyers are following the class-action lawsuit filed against one of these retail chains.

The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Minnesota. The complaint originates with a Minnesota woman who brought the claim on behalf of herself and anyone who bought and used three of Target’s “Up and Up” brand dietary supplements dating back to February 2009.

The complaint argues that Target “deceived and misled” customers into buying the supplements. Twin Cities Business Magazine reports that there are at least 100 members in the proposed class, and the combined claims exceed $5 million.
